February 14, 2020. Baguio City.  In a meeting attended by Mines and Geosciences Bureau-Cordillera Administrative Region Director Fay W. Apil and Engr. Alfredo J. Genetiano, Benguet Corp lawyers and small-scale mining group representatives with Baguio City Congressman Mark O. Go, the lawmaker promised to reconsider his proposed bill (HB 05619) in the House of Representatives for a mining free Baguio City.

This resulted after listening to inputs from everyone who assured him of their support in resolving problems regarding the issue of mining in the city.

Another meeting was scheduled with the members of the City Mining Regulatory Board (CMRB) to discuss actions on the matter and present findings of the CMRB Technical Working Group.
