Duterte Legacy Caravan at Camp Dangwa on April 22, 2022
The Mines and Geosciences Bureau-Cordillera Administrative Region (MGB-CAR) with the DENR-CAR Regional Strategic Communications Initiative Group (RSCIG), EMB-CAR, and CENRO Baguio celebrated Earth Day with the Duterte Legacy Barangayanihan Caravan held at Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on April 22, 2022.
The “Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards Recovery” is a project that aims to inform the public about government programs to the Filipino people. Said activity with the theme "Pagkakaisa ng Mamamayan at Pamahalaan Tungo sa Pagbangon, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran" was coordinated by PNP PRO-COR. They brought different national agencies together in one place where more than 1000 participants availed of the different services offered.
To celebrate Earth Day, April 22, the DENR-EMB-MGB booth shared different IEC materials and distributed free pine tree seedlings to participants of the caravan. Matters on land titling, solid waste, and geohazards were also addressed by personnel manning the booth. Participants also had a great time taking photos with the mascot Shanum (water).
Collaborative activities such as this truly benefit the people by bringing government services closer to them.
