A monitoring activity was conducted by the embedded personnel of Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB-CAR), Mountain Province on the Permanent Environment Protection Order (PEPO) issued by the court within the jurisdiction of Barangays Mainit and Maligcong of Bontoc, Mountain Province on March 9-10, 2021.
It was confirmed during the monitoring that adits and small-scale mining portals have been abandoned evidenced by wildlings covering the area. The Watershed and Water Resources Research, Development and Extension Center was actively involved in the conduct of the MGB-led geo-resistivity surveys at the Burnham Park, Baguio City and Benguet State University (BSU) quadrangle, La Trinidad, Benguet on March 24-26, 2021. Ms. Helen A.
