Forty-five female and male participants from Sta. Fe, Banget, Quarry and Sal-angan in Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet, were provided by Macawiwili Gold Mining and Development Company, Inc., an exploration company thereat, with hands-on training on Mushroom Culture and Propagation in order to start up said livelihood program as encompassed in the company‚Äôs approved Community Development Program (CDP).  The training was coordinated with the Municipality of Itogon which sent Mr. Berto Bayeng, Municipal Agriculture Officer, as one of the lecturers.  The second photo shows two veteran resource persons, Ms. Cynthia Pontino, 4th from right, a mushroom beneficiary of an adjacent mining company who now supplies big restaurants in Baguio City with her shiitake mushrooms and Alicia Gatab, 1st from left, a renowned mushroom producer from Bakong, Loacan, Itogon, demonstrating the proper way of putting planting spawns in sterilized bottles and plastic fruiting bags.  The MGB-CAR representative at the center also participated in the activity. -(R.
